APEL.A INTERVIEW FOR MASTER OF EDUCATION VIA VOICE NOTES IN WHATSAPP

Dear Ms TEE LIH PING. Good day to you! You are receiving this message because you have applied for APEL. A (Master of Education) in Asia e University. This is an interview which is a recorded voice-notes via WhatsApp. This is to replace the scheduled phone interview (dated 19/4 and 20/4/2023 ) via the APEL.A system.

Please READ carefully and follow the instruction below:

There are FIVE parts in the interview, each part weighs 10 marks.

PART 1: ADMINISTRATIVE | 10 marks

i) Briefly tell us your formal learning or certificated learning you have been awarded. It can be from your work experience, training, seminar etc.

ii) Tell more on your experience as educator and relevant education courses/training you have attended.


PART 2: COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND LANGUAGE | 10 marks

i) Tell us about your experience in teaching and learning (education sector)?

ii) What do you hope to gain from your postgraduate studies, and how will you use your degree in your future career or academic pursuits?

iii) Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?


PART 3: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS IN THE FIELD OF STUDY (in education) | 10 marks

i) Can you describe a time when you used a unique teaching strategy to help a struggling student succeed? What was the strategy, and what was the outcome?


PART 4: READINESS TO UNDERTAKE POSTGRADUATE STUDIES | 10 marks

i) Have you identified any specific challenges or obstacles that you anticipate facing during your postgraduate studies, and how do you plan to overcome them?

ii) Have you gained any relevant work experience, research experience, or other practical experience that will help you succeed in a postgraduate program?

iii) Have you conducted research on the postgraduate program you are interested in, and how do you think it aligns with your academic and career goals?


PART 5: ACTION PLAN TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAMMES OF STUDY | 10 marks

i) If you are successful in gaining admission into the University, what are your plans to ensure completion of study?

ii) Would your company sponsor/subsidize your study? A self-sponsored?

iii) How do you plan to balance your academic responsibilities with other commitments, such as work or family obligations?

VOICE-NOTE INSTRUCTION:

1. Allocate the ONE part (1-3 questions) in one voice-note only. So, you should have only FIVE voice-notes to revert.

4. You may answer in ENGLISH or MALAY.
